Hisui is the ancient name for the region that will eventually become the Sinnoh region in the Pokémon world, featured in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It is a land where humans and Pokémon have not yet developed a harmonious relationship, and it is based on the historical Japanese island of Hokkaido, known as Ezo before 1869.
