Yes! I finished my half of my art trade with
flightyheights :D
This was my first time using truly mixed traditional and digital media (i.e. not just throwing a background behind a drawing), but I think you kind of can't even tell, which I guess means I did it right? I'm not sure. The line art I did completely by hand, because it's easier, but the colouring (obviously) is digital.
Colouring in Photoshop is so weird feeling! It's the total opposite of Copics, to me. For markers, you have to constantly keep an image of the picture as a whole in your mind, and every stroke of the marker must works towards that. With Photoshop, you can just kind of do whatever you want, because you can always, always change it if you don't like it. The only thing you waste is time. Once more, I am impressed by the difficulty of traditional media. There's no erasing marker after all! But I do love the freedom it affords, to play around with ideas and have no repercussions.
I need to work on my colour choices for when things have a background. I think I let background items gain too much attention by making them so bright. I'll have to work on that.

Wake up, see this, what do? Answer: smile. Day is already made!
The detail you put into things is amazing. The pancakes look fantastic and that soft thing on the frying pan's handle?
I don't even know what it is but I want one!
You breathed life into my characters~ I love their expressions.
Funny thing is the robin use to be human so he -would- know how to make pancakes.
I can't thank you enough, really. ;o;

I'm really glad you like it! Your bird characters are so unique, I love them. Especially the Robin, he looks like a nice guy who would make pancakes for his friends. That's cool that I nailed it on accident like that XD
The thing on the pan handle is a cloth cover for when you have a cast iron pan, that way you don't burn yourself. I figure he shouldn't stand directly on the pan handle :p I hope he doesn't weigh much though, I just realized how dangerous a place he's standing; the pan could flip over on him!
