Wholesome render of the siblings balancing for a cameraman! :)
Original Description From DeviantArt:
Yakko, Wakko and Dot Warner walked the streets of Burbank, getting away from the Studio Lot to see what the other toons outside of the world of art and entertainment were up to. When a tourist snapping pictures gleefully ran up to them, asking for a picture. They weren't strangers to fans and tourists wanting autographs, pictures and memories of them. It was just part of the job.
Instead of just giving a normal picture with arms strung around each other. Yakko suggested the "Tower of Warners". Wakko immediately knew what it was, before Dot followed along realizing what they meant. Swiftly Wakko hopped onto Yakko's shoulders with Dot following along scurrying up her brothers as they laughed. Tickling them accidentally as she stood atop Wakko's hatted head.
They wobble, shake and move with giggles, smiles and playfulness. The siblings are having so much fun, they'd forgot why they were doing this. The tourist clears their throat, bringing them back to that moment. They look to the direction of the camera, taking unique poses. Yakko impressively stands on one leg, kicking his foot out. Wakko sticks out his tongue, giggling waving to the camera. Dot balances on a single foot, impressively using her toes to maintain balance.
FLASH!!!
Forever a snap shot of the wholesome moment, saved with these siblings on the street being as they were in their cartoons.
Memorable.
This was a short project turned very long. Simple, but turned to a fun wholesome piece. I smiled a lot during the creation of this. I went a little wild with the depth of field, tinkering with the aperture. Even flipping the camera on its side to accomplish this shot which I learned during my art trade of Wile E.
What took me the longest was filling the background to be lively, a street of toons walking about during a sunny afternoon. It would've been finished quickly, but part of me didn't like the empty streets. So bing bang boom give the splash of character that was needed, you got yourself a lively scene.
I am going to have to create a folder of my favorites, this is surely one of them.
Thank you to Valve for Source Filmmaker and JCThornton for the ease of access to his wonderful models.
