Yes I know, it's almost winter. This piece is a bit old and I need to somehow cope with the temperatures dropping and the light lacking. :')

It feels like i'm being taken back in time.
The vintage compositing and use of lines and colors are used strategically to invoke a sense of nostalgia without directly calling to a specific show or character that used it before. It's design is a well executed form of making me believe it must have been from a long time ago and still stands the test of time to this day.
It's like remembering a show or cartoon or even a logo that felt very relatable or at least very strong in memory.
The fact that it looks like something created a long time ago and yet is digital and new speaks to it's level of quality.
They say that art made a long time ago that is still remembered is a sign of intense quality.
I think people who think that insane detail is the best form of quality is correct in some aspect, but this art you make has quality that matches due to it's careful use of lines, colors, and effects to feel more like a memory you try to recall of something you love.
In summary, it's this "I think i remember this happy memory" to me personally.
A second feeling i get is that it feels like a "real fake" tv show. Like it was from the late 80s and was sold on VHS and is remembered for all time by those who've seen it since then. So i find it incredibly inspiring as one of the most positive memories I could recall even if i wasn't really born in that era or have strong memories till i was just past the 90s.
Anyway, It's like entering another world where it left a strong impression at some point.
Sorry for my long ramble but I didn't want to just give you a short answer since you asked, I think it's important to get everything i can muster in what it indeed says to me personally.
Thank you so much for asking me!
I look forward to seeing more when you post them. <3

First at all thank you for taking your time and writing all this! it means a lot :D
I'm happy you feel like this because it's exactly the kind of feeling I am trying to convey.
Those pieces are made to look like they belong to another era. They actually don't and you know it but deep inside seeing it you somehow feel like a sort of Mandela effect: "Looks like something I used to love seeing when I was a kid, but I am sure it never existed. Or maybe yes".
At the same time, I want them to make the viewer feel a warm sense of nostalgia. Not the "I wish I could get back to that era" nostalgia but more like "I feel bittersweet happiness but also somehow soothed"

Kinda been waiting for an opportunity to post something like this to you since making my account here, recently...
You're definitely well in tune with what your art conveys! That last part you wrote is exactly how I've always felt since I first discovered your art years ago, fox-pop. And you've been one of my absolute favourites ever since. I'm a sucker for faux-nostalgia regardless of the artform it takes, but there's something really unique and striking about the way you do it. Your designs are sleek and polished, taking advantage of modern digital quality, at the same time with no tackiness to the "vintage" side of them at all -- a perfect mix. Your art evokes the same bittersweet happiness, even "anemoia" feelings that something from long ago would, without trying to be something that it's not.
Your work offers those good retro vibes in a uniquely present way, and one strike against stepping into the time machine would be that your art wouldn't actually be there back then. And I think that's a real mark of success! It's artists like you that make this crazy world tolerable... I really mean that.

aww thank you! I truly apreciate your words, it made my day! :D
Truly happy you like my art! More will come soon!
And yeah, stepping into the past with a time machine would mean there would be no art of mine!
...or maybe in another universe, during the 90s, my art exists? >:D Plot twiiisssssst

I'm so glad! I think that another thing I was trying to get at is that your art has a certain self-awareness to it that shows the mark of someone who not only likes the retro aesthetic, but truly understands what they're emulating/inspired by inside and out. Kinda like how hairspray, spandex and 10,000 layers of reverb alone won't make you sound authentically glam metal.
And hey, you never know...! But in this timeline, never ever stop!! We're always looking forward to more!

exactly! I surely Haven't seen the 80s with my own eyes but early 90s were my early childhood (i'm a 1990 born) so i remember its vibes very well.
another example one may give for granted? Sodium vapor streetlights. They are rare to see today, but they once were everywhere, painting the night in that orange, soothing tone.
when I drop by some area with those lights, I feel again that nostalgia :) it's like talking to my inner child, dunno.

Ahhh I see! I had wondered that, actually. I'm from the middle of the decade myself so my memories are more of the Y2K variety. I think it takes a few years for a new decade's vibe to kick in, anyway... (unless I guess when you have a global pandemic happen right at the beginning of it...)
Pieces of media, food, even little things like once-ubiquitous technology like that -- it can all take you back in a special way! I remember video stores, lol!
