Im not actually as annoyed with Capcom as i have been but i wanted to get this out of my head so i could sort of move on XP.
It was gonna be longer pointing out how both groups of fans waited 11 years for sequels, and how Capcom ported MvC2 to PS2, xbox, PSN and XBLA but they couldnt do that for Legends, and how Capcom Europe sort of blamed the Legends fans for MML3 being cancelled , but i decided to keep it short

As it should be, because DLC characters are hardly worth $5 to begin with. But the concept remains retarded. A new version of a game not even a year after its release. All that means is they had this planned since the release, making the original release seem like an incomplete game, which is essentially true at this point. MVC3 came out with an unimpressive small roster compared to the previous installment, some pretty poor balancing, and no spectator mode.
You know you're right, not like the worlds biggest natural disaster in Japan happened, or PSN was taken down for 3+ months in Japan afterwards or anything right?
If you think about it the re-release is the most natural thing to do, and yeah, 5 bucks is a bit much, but for what it is it's a least amount price point sony/microsoft would allow. Something once again out of their control.
So while you're fine feeling ripped off for some reason, you aren't. As for the lesser amount of characters (38 counting Jill/Shuma) you do realize that they are 3D models/new music/Animations and MvC2 had the most offensive sprite clusterfuck ever right? I hate this argument as MvC2 was literally rushed out the door due to them losing a copyright with Marvel at the time so they just used old artwork, it's why Jill fires rockets from a MSPaint box and why the only new things in the game were SonSon, Amingo, and Ruby Heart (who were put in as filler due to the time constraints). It's also why the game was as poorly balanced as it was.
MvC3's balance is pretty bad in regards to Phoenix and Sent post-nerf but with them both getting nerfed (Sents case a second time) the balances are taken care of, and everyone's getting retweaked.

Well, people have every right to complain about the initial release of MvC3. they came out with DLC characters right out of the gate, meaning these were all intended from the start. They hardly even seemed like bonuses. Now, they come out with the actual complete version of the game, sure it's at a discounted price, but that's still ass to anyone that's purchase the first release. Do they get the game for free? of course not.
Also, I love how you bring up the earthquake in Japan and PSN's shut down, as if its at all relevant to the problem here, which is Capcom being a greedy compny concerned with profit so much it's blinded to who actually gives them their profit, their fans. This is in no way related to the earthquake. I'd almost be offended you even tried to make it relevant, almost lost a friend to that earthquake.

The disaster and PSN down kinda made DLC impossible for them bro, if you think that they'll work on something without a estimated time of ever coming back, pardon me, but you're stupid as hell. So if DLC gets forcibly cut from them what do they do then? Oh they go onto make a second coming of the game. That saves you money. Fair or unfair dlc price tag. You're literally complaining that they're giving you stuff cheaper then what you would of had to of paid for it, and when the biggest disaster and one of there homes is cut off, you expect them to shrug it off.

No, you're missing the point, again. I'm complaining that this expansion exists in the first place. Because it's not a new game, it's an expansion, it's not DLC. Just because it's a cheaper price doesn't make it better or any less greedy in principal that the game was unfinished, released and now they're releasing the full game while ignoring the people that actually supported them.
It's the same with Street Fighter and that Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition. With an disastrous 4 new characters 2 of which just being different versions of the same characters with slightly different movesets. It's preposterous what Capcom does and they've been doing this ever since Street Fighter 2. Hell the fact that you don't see it makes you blind.

Apparently the reason why Capcom can't port Legends around is because they lost the rights to the voice track.

Yeah, it's a shame. They announce the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 thing just before I heard about MML3 being canceled. It sucks. I would have liked to see western releases of the Japanese PSP ports of the series, a rerelease of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne maybe, just something I could get my hands on. But you know, the legends series was something that was due for a sequel an entire decade.
The only good thing about this is that now I don't need to buy a 3DS, because I was only getting one for Legends 3.
Pfft, don't know why anyone wants Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I'm waiting for Super Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Championship Edition Turbo EX plus Alpha. You know they'll do it, they're Capcom.
