Let me be a furgonomics nerd for a moment, here.
I think that in a multi-species society, homes (or at least ones built in modern times) would be subject to a degree of govt enforced standardization, for things like ceiling heights, the width of doors and hallways, bathroom fixtures, and stuff like that. There'd likely be different types made for different broad height/weight ranges.
