TRANSCRIPT

Day 398 - November 6th, 2741

Found the bastard, or to be fair he found us.

We were on his trail when we heard more movement and followed, then it stopped. We moved towards the area with caution. Before we got close, I used my enhanced senses to pick up on breathing. Faint but there. Then it paused.

I yelled at Lily to duck, and pushed her aside. A bullet came cracking down and hit a rock behind where we were standing. All bets were off. I used my abilities to sprint up to the scout at blinding speed towards him, and Lily ran up after me, using her own powers.

The Scout tried shifting to a CQC fight, but I tackled him before he could ready his pistol. I took the gun from his hand and turned it against him. I demanded he tell me anything and everything he knew about who was giving him orders and where I could find them. He gave nothing. I readied the gun, but Lily told me to stand down.

I didn't want to, this guy would know what wielders are, and knows that we are ones. But before I could make my decision, he made it for me. As I was looking at Lily, her hand on my gun, the scout drew a backup weapon.

I saw this at the corner of my eye. And by instinct, I pulled the trigger, and the scout was no more. Lily looked horrified, but I quickly shooed her away from this place.

And taking his comms device along with us.

I debated taking his guns as he had an impressive kit, but even though my signal tracker wasn't picking up any trackers on the guns, its better to be safe than sorry.
