Deputy Bart a Scrafty that works in Victory Town, generally he and his boss/co-workers deal with 'outlaws' and other crimes, but sometimes they need to ask for help from the explorers guilds when dealing with much more powerful outlaws/gangs/bandits.



Honestly Bart hates it when the Sheriff asks the guilds for help, he feels it makes them look bad for needing assistance, but also he holds a strong grudge against the guilds and refuses to tell anyone why.



Game mechanic wise he will randomly appear on outlaw missions (Though not every mission as it's randomized if he'll show up or not), Bart will be able to be found on one of the floors where it's 50/50 wither or not he will temporary join the player character on the hunt for the outlaw Or reject the player and go it alone.



If he rejects joining your team, he will still show up to the Outlaw fight and then it's a race if you defeat the outlaw first! If Bart moves defeats the outlaw first it means your character will only receive half the prize/rewards. If you defeat the outlaw, he'll grumble but acknowledge your skill, but next time the outlaw is going to be his to bring in! (You will also receive all of the reward for taking down the outlaw) If he's on your team he will acknowledge that he needed your help for this case, but next time he should be fine taking down the outlaw himself. (He'll then gift you a random item from the dungeon for being a helpful partner) - Also you don't have to worry if he get's taken down in a fight he has his own Reviver Seeds so your own supplies won't be effected if he faints.
