Inspired by an image drawn by a certain "Blue Eyed Wolf" fellow, who drew his Buzzard character resting on the rudder of an airliner, I got to thinking about what happened to old "Wally Bird." He was the star of many commercials for an airline during the 1960s and '70s and I think had to go into "Retirement" shortly after the airline folded. I imagined "Wally" living in his trailer in the retirement home for animated characters, coming out every day to check his mail and sweep his porch.
