A special day with mom can mean many things. Today it’s a day at the beach, though not quite a typical one. At first, Zoran pouted because he couldn't wear his pool toys as he usually does. When they arrived at the train station, Zoran saw the reason: a beautifully restored steam train was ready for their trip to the beach! Casper, knowing Zoran’s love of mechanical things, had arrived early to surprise him. The train crew greeted them warmly and offered to share their knowledge with Zoran, which quickly improved his mood. Time passed quickly, and soon the train was ready to leave. As they entered the carriage, it became clear why Zoran’s toys needed to be deflated—space was limited inside the cozy, restored coach. One side had two seats while the other had only one. Zoran, who dislikes sitting next to strangers, chose the single seat in the center, much to Casper’s relief because she dislikes being near random people too. Their journey through the countryside was relaxed and beautiful, though it ended sooner than Zoran wished. Excited to explore, Zoran led the way toward the beach, guided by the scent of salty air and other beachgoers also heading to the beach, and just as quickly as their new joinery started they were at the beach and Casper’s motherly instinct took over inflating Zoran’s ring while he waited excitedly. Once done she would snug him into the ring knowing he would keep Zoran safe and she could settle down for some well-deserved relaxation herself.
