I made this drawing for an art school assignment. It represents a legend that surrounds the potoo bird in Perú, where it's known as the ayaymama. Basically, the story tells that there were these two young siblings that were abandoned by their mother in the middle of the rainforest, and the moon transformed them in the potoo bird (which explains the sad calls those birds make, as if calling their mom).
