I'm just experimenting with something right now, this ref isn't canon just yet but could be potentially if I decide it works out.


Mallion usually has belly plates on all the art I draw of him, but I kinda wanted to try out a soft belly version of him because..... lets face it >.> soft bellies look lovely when they're stuffed <3
YES I have self indulgent reasons for doing this :P bite me!!!

However I also am a bit reluctant of moving away from his belly plates at all or entirely because he does still suit them.

So the experiment is:
"Naturally doesn't have any belly plates, but can use magic to form them in order to protect his vital organs" which would mean like 90% of the time he takes dragon form he will form the hard belly plates because he doesn't trust people to not wanna kill him!
But if he trusts someone enough then he won't bother to use his magic and will have his true appearance in front of them which is soft belly.
... Unless I come up with a better explanation XD
Like I said it's experimental right now cause I like soft belly, but don't wanna step away from the belly plates.
