Very recently it was the 20th anniversary of the Ginga Densetsu Weed anime (November 3rd, 2005), so of COURSE I had to draw something for the ocassion. This is also a redraw of an old deviantART piece from 2015, which in turn I did for GDW's tenth anniversary back then. I KNOW I can be very critical of Ginga as a whole but this goofy ass dog series will always be near and dear to me for so many personal reasons. And this is ALSO the year we completed all 26 episodes of the unofficial English fandub no less

If it wasn't for either a certain artist I followed in the old Deviant art days, or even YouTube, I would've never discovered this series. I love it to bits, and recently did a rewatching of it. Both GNG and GDW.
Loved the series so much, this year I recently bought both the official manga series from Japan, and they're definitely one of my most cherished collections.
(This is also a random aside, but you calling it the "goofy ass dog series" makes me feel validated in the jokes I make with my husband about it, especially how the dogs are constantly drawn with their mouths open. My husband likes to say they're "catching flies", or "there's not a single thought between those eyes" especially in GNG.)
