Hey y'all. If you haven't seen my latest journal, I took a break from merfolk stuff for a while to focus on life and personal things. It has helped a lot. I'm feeling like I'm a lot happier and confident in life. Things like therapy have been big for me. I can't promise I'll be here a lot, but as part of my efforts to improve my life, I'm working to be more accepting of that it's okay for me to have an unusual interest like merfolk. I let that give me far too much anxiety in the past. It's not my whole self, but it's part of me, and I'm feeling better about that. 🙂
As for the art, this is my first attempt to really use inkscape. I'll have to see where it goes, I find the program a bit obtuse. I tried out some new things with eyes and scales, and I like the result. Also trying out a rash guard I have irl and I think it adds some nice variation.
I'm working generally on my foundational drawing skills, and hopefully it pays off. 🙂
