Okay so I may or may not be over the moon excited for Metroid Prime to come back next month and wanted to do a cute little piece to celebrate the occasion. And while there aren't many typically cute critters in the series, doesn't mean I can't try >:3
Etecoons and Dachoras, a docile and highly advanced species native to Zebes. These creatures, in spite of their rather demur appearance in comparison to the rest of the local fauna, are capable of highly advanced techniques that give them unparalleled maneuverability.
Unfortunately, even for creatures this skilled in such latent abilities, doesn't mean they can't be a biiiiiiit careless with them. Ah well, at least they can rest easy knowing they've got a comfy landing after that Shinespark. Just uh...try not to get in their way, might end up with a bit of a face full.
