Val has always been weak and fragile, but over time, she developed a tough, bully-like personality, often showing bitterness toward most people.
She's a metalhead and a part-time tattoo artist. Having always had small breasts, she developed a complex and tries to compensate with piercings and tattoos.
Val is obsessed with deep sea life and sharks. She's majoring in marine biology, and when a new species of shark was discovered, she used her connection to her aunt—also a marine biologist and an active member of the research crew assigned to study the creature—to get closer to it.
One night, while her aunt was away, Val encountered the shark. Although it initially appeared cute, its demeanor quickly proved deceptive. The creature opened its maw to reveal not one, but two separate jaws and a barbed tongue, which shot out and stung Val.
Later at her home, she transformed into a hulking beast driven by pure instinct and rage. After a few hours, she reverted to her human form—but found herself addicted to the feeling of power and the transformation it brought.
