Backstory
Nyr grew up on the streets utilizing her abilities to steal in order to survive until she was caught by an ex hero who gave her a shot at a new and better life as a hero. Over time Nyr was able to leave life as a trainee and join her own team, things went well for a time until the team started failing missions, leading to increasing friction among the group where the more they failed the more they blamed one another until eventually full-blame landed on Blackout due to her difficult to work with ability and known past, and accusations of intentional sabotage started to grow until she was eventually ousted. Nyr was willing to continue on but rumors of her “sabotage” would follow her wherever she went leading to distrust and disdain, only growing the further in her career she went until no one would have her, labeling her as nothing more than a villain and a thief.

Officially, Nyr has retired as a Hero fully giving up the mantle and living life as a successful tattoo artist who just happens to use her old underground connections to get lucrative jobs. In secret, Nyr has decided to give everyone exactly what they wanted and after fully understanding her true power to “steal” light Nyr became the mercenary thief Neon, with great disdain for the “helpful nature” of so called heroes.
Despite this push to the mercenary life, Her love of body-modification is the real reason she keeps coming back as its rather expensive to keep up and it helps that she can disguise her less-than-legal transactions as expensive design work for clients.

Currently, Neon is working alongside a partner taking care of jobs in the past to fix something in her current future. It is unclear if Neon is currently labelled a Villain or an Anti-Hero in her own Timeline

Powers + Gear
Powers: Light Manipulation and redirection, Teleportation marked via Voids created by stealing light from within an area, anything requiring light to function will not function within the light-less voids (this includes many forms of cameras and sensors such as infrared and night vision)

Weapons: Light claws, Light Chains, Throwing Knives
Other Equipment: Filtered Half-Mask, Boots w/ Retractable plates (for climbing and traction), Light storage capsules (used to store light without a time limit causing a permanent void until released)

Tactics
Neon prefers to keep her distance, typically up above; hiding her presence. She utilizes misdirection to distract her foes, allowing her to get the jump on them or flee
When forced into direct combat for one reason or another, Neon will use her chains or throwing knives to fight from range while on the move, teleporting from void to void while staying within cover.

When needed she is fully capable of using her claws for close combat and using the chains to ensnare or drag enemies; when combined with her "blinks" she is theoretically capable of increasing the momentum and thus effectiveness of her attacks.
