Second Hypnovember commission of the 2025 season.
The client was ninetalesuk who, with the Screen prompt, tasked me to work on a story about her being the last victim on what looks like an event that affects felines.
If you are interested in getting a story, there still are some prompts left.

“I’ll rest for now and tomorrow will continue,” Fabienne Growley said while opening the door.
The leading news anchor for ZNN was looking at the strange disappearances happening within the Zootopia regions. While this being far from the first case of citizens disappearing from one moment to another, there was something strange about this one. The ones affected included a variety of felines as lionesses, tigresses, jaguars, cheetahs and other similar animals were the ones who were reported missing.
Fabianne decided to investigate this more after hearing a report related to a bachelorette party, where all the women there disappeared over night. What caught her attention was that all the guests there were of the same kind as the ones her and other reporters talked about on the news. Just today she found out that the victims were mostly women between the ages of 18 and 45 and she would have continued looking for information if it wasn’t for her boss telling her to take the night off as he was worried about her.
At first, the snow leopard tried to dismiss that and even considered trying to convince her superior to let her continue, but after hearing about how tired she looked, and that this could affect her work, Fabianne agreed on leaving the building early, deciding to use that night off to get some well-deserved rest and recharge her energies. That would have been easier if only the newscaster didn’t read the file she took with her home.
“I just don’t get it. Why are these women disappearing like that? They are different kinds of cats, not only in species but also related to their jobs. I can understand the ones from the Zootopia Police Department, but some of these reports include normal animals like mothers and waiters,” the snow leopard said, reading the file while taking off her suit jacket. Her priority was to take the night off, but Fabienne simply couldn’t. Her mind only thought about her investigation and she needed answers. She stopped once again after noticing that an hour passed and this time, she left the file in the living room so she wouldn’t check it again. “I need to rest, that’s what I need.”
She left for her room, changing her attire for something more loose. As she looked herself in the mirror, looking at the dark nightgown she was wearing, the newscaster wondered how much this was going to be. It’s been two months since she started with the reports and a month since she tried looking for clues, but instead of answers, Fabienne got more reports related to cat women disappearing. She would have continued if it wasn’t that she heard a sound coming from the living room.
“This is weird, I don’t remember turning on the television,” Fabienne said as she walked towards the screen. Instead of the television showing the news or a channel she usually watched, there was a pink and silver swirl. She didn’t know it, but the moment she fixed her gaze on the colorful screen, this started to affect her completely. First she became dizzy, having a hard time remaining standing and then she had problems with her own thoughts, not sure if she turned on the television or not. Thanks to her getting strange enough to come back, the newscaster decided to turn it off, already noticing that this was affecting her in a strange way, but just as she was going to do that, she was stopped by not one but two intruders. “What the…”
The panther gal with dark fur covered Fabienne’s mouth and held her by the arm while the lioness went down, holding her legs so she wouldn’t move. This came as a shock as not only the two women caught her when she had her guard down, but because the newscaster also recongized them. They were the bride and the bridesmaid from that bachelorette party she read about and while she hoped to get some answers related to the recent disappearances, Fabienne didn’t expect her to find it like that.
“What are you…doing to?” The snow leopard asked, getting no reply back. She could see that something was wrong by their expression, with their blank smiles and eyes completely white being the meaning that they were acting against their own will. She quickly put the pieces together, linking the colorful image on the screen to them vanishing and the way they were acting: they were hypnotized. Worse of all, by the looks of this, it was clear that Fabienne was the next victim and after the lioness made her kneel down, moving her closer to the television to look at the entrancing swirl.”N-no...”
The snow leopard was overwhelmed, having a multitude of ideas and yet, all were related to the spirals. She was between being afraid to start loving this, wanting to look away and hoping that the colors would continue to guide her into a nice state. Fabienne was in the middle of an internal battle and any effort she tried to make against that went nowhere. The panther and lioness could feel that she was starting to give in as her body stopped feeling tense, the signal that the induction was going to end just like they expected.
“L-let…me…” Fabienne tried to fight back, using all of her strengths to break free from their grasps and also trying to look away, but her attempt ended in failure. She made the mistake of looking at the colorful spiral, causing her to be put in a tired state and because of that, she lost the fight before it started. As the seconds passed and the newscaster's gaze remained looking at the hypnotic screen, she stopped fighting completely. This no longer looked like something to be afraid about, it felt nice, granting her a state of relaxation that she hadn't felt before. Fabienne’s last thought before she finally reached that deep state of trance was asking herself how the two felines got hypnotized too. She knew that this was linked to the same one related to the vanishings, but she stopped thinking about that not long after that.
Soon, her eyes started to be filled with the same pink and silver spirals she was admiring, enjoying the colors and how it made her feel much to the delight to the two cat women. Every worry or fear vanished and she even stopped thinking that her investigation was important, just a waste of time that didn’t let her pay attention to what she truly wanted, which of course was admiring the nice and captivating view.
After an hour, the panther and the lioness guided the newscasters towards the sofa, letting her rest a bit as the two pampered her while she continued to look at the colorful screen. They massaged her shoulders and paws and kept whispering ideas that they knew would have a big impact on her, like how this is what she truly wanted and that she should be happy to be hypnotized. They even made her repeat some of those ideas thanks to Fabienne already reaching the point of no return.
“I love…being hypnotized. I love following my master’s orders and I was made to listen and obey,” she cooed softly, saying those words like it was something that she always believed. This was the desired effect that the two felines wanted to see and with the newscaster already in that state, there was only one thing left. After absorbing the commands that the panther and lioness were saying, the snow leopard closed her eyes. The image of the spiral remained there and she was more than happy to see it. The colorful swing let all of her worries go away and she was very happy.
“Get up now,” the lioness commanded as she and the panther stopped massaging Fabianne. She obeyed, slowly and robotically standing in attention, but the detail that stood out was her eyes. They were completely blank, which meant only one thing: she was finally a mindless servant just like them.
The induction went pretty well, the snow leopard obeyed her first command almost perfectly and by the look of this, it seemed that she was never going to wake up from that blissful dream. They even tested Fabianne for a bit more, asking her a few questions related to the group she now belonged to and also how she felt about the whole thing and just like they expected, they got the answers they wanted.
“Follow us,” she followed the two hypnotized felines, not minding the fact that she was wearing nothing but a nightgown or that she was forced to watch that entrancing spiral. Fabianne was very happy and even if she still didn’t know what was going to happen next, she continued to smile, thinking only about that colorful swirl and how it made her feel. In the end, she got what she wanted, finding clues and information related to the disappearances, but at the same time, this also cost her one thing.
Her own free will.
