Also, it's interesting to hear that this character is an insect, despite looking rather elf/humanoid-ish.

Nah, I just took the background from the game. Don't see any sense in drawing it myself. Just wanted a quick sketch for fun.

Shan looks like a human\elf because he likes humans and interact with them mostly. He can change his body and I often draw him with insect wings. And he has an ovipositor and a sort of mosquito sting and may create a cocon around himself to sleep. Insect in details I daresay
