Ronto Region has starters! The themes I went with were "urban wildlife" and the idea of urban and rural areas and the roads that connect them. The grass one was honestly the hardest to come up with but I'm satisfied with the end result.
Lilibelle, the bunny pokemon
Lilibelle is a small grass-type pokemon that lives in quiet forests and woodlands in the Ronto region. It has a shy disposition and uses its long ears to hide its white body from predators - this makes it less visible against the green background and also masks its scent with the smell of greenery. The bell-shaped flower on its tail has a scent that induces drowsiness, so its trainer is always assured of a good night's sleep with a bunny-hug before bedtime. Lilibelle evolves into maybelle at level 18.
Maybelle, the bunny pokemon
Maybelle is a medium-sized grass-type pokemon from the Ronto region. In the spring, maybelle in their dozens congregate in woodlands to dance under the moon and stars, sharing pollen between them. The sweet smell on the night wind is the surest sign that winter is finally over and the planting of spring crops can begin - maybelle are preternaturally sensitive to changes in the weather and won't begin their dances if there's a chance of a late frost. Spring festivals are held in maybelle's honour even now. Maybelle evolves into harebell at level 36.
Harebelle, the white rabbit pokemon
Harebelle is a large grass and fairy-type pokemon from the Ronto region. The beguiling scent of its flowers can cause hallucinations, which it mainly uses to escape from danger. A pursuing opponent may suddenly find itself tumbling down a deep hole, or exploring a strange nonsense world - in fact they are fast asleep on the ground and harebelle is long gone. It often uses its pollen to help others, bringing them comfort in times of physical and emotional distress. Annual celebrations of parting and renewal feature images of harebelle prominently, though the connection to more ancient beliefs is all but lost these days - kids still enjoy harebelle-shaped candies and plushes though.
