This is Ladyfingers.
She is a bug I made to pester Harvestman (
) as I am a huge fan of http://daddylonglegs.smackjeeves.com/ "Daddy Long Legs" the web comic that showcases the shenanigans.
Dapper, creepy insects with interesting designs. THERE WILL BE FAN ART.
If you are not sure, she is a Bombyx mori -- Silkworm moth. I see her as someone who has money due to the Silk market, but is not necessarily a snob. She is still a work in progress, but I am very happy with the design. My next step is going to be tossing her into DLL-esque clothing. I always get a turn-of-the-Century vibe from it so that is what I will likely aim for her. Her clothing is made from coccoons. As I think about it there might be some creepy double entredre for her family's 'Silk Trade' as you get the coccoons from makings lots of babies and then spinning the thread into silk to then make lots of money.. Oof. This might be fun. :D
This done 100% in SAI with references to real critters from Google and my own textbooks. Hrmph. Get with the program FA. At least give generalized taxonomic choices now. Why is Apple a choice and not Insect? It isn't like they haven't made a couple cartoon insect movies/books/etc.
