One of my warm summer memories is a Shumer fest
Shumer — the secret open-air punk music event in Moscow.
It was carried out without the consent of the city authorities and police, in the forest on the DIY-stage, — In the best traditions of anarcho-primitivism. Annually the festival attracted several hundred representatives of subcultures from all over the country and even from abroad.
The day of the event always resembled a train "pirate hijacking", as several hundred drunk and rowdy fare-dodgers boarded the empty wagons at once. Inasmuch as moscow football fans also traditionally practices similar on matchdays, it can be concluded that the millionaires who own RZD (Russian railways) are don't really care about these kinds of local guys' fun. By law, this is punishable by a small fine, but the controllers and the driver every time preferred not to interfere, what caused unimaginable emotions like a breath of real freedom
Today I able to tell openly about our secret only because the Shumer fest has been discontinued for the past couple of years, — the organizers emigrated from Russia. However, the CIS underground scene still has a lot of interesting things ;)

hell yes, reminds me of this old school bus my punk friends when on tour with. when they got back we broke out the windows and hung speakers from them to do a rave under a bridge. When I played my set, i heard of these kids dancing and jumping on the roof so I put on Acid Come and whent up there to join them. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get down, and ended up crowdsurfing off it (my first time crowdsurfing, and there were enough people to surf with). Usually it's too underground and not enough people are into it but there was something in the air that night (nic salts in the fog juice maybe?)
