I thought it'd be interesting to explore the wider ramifications of pokemone anthros being like people
Maybe it was everstone run off pollution? Birth defect, or something else
Also thought it gives some interesting depth to her. Are her sassy comments because she's coping with this reality she's stuck like this forever, or is it cocky behavior because it's before she knew she wasn't... "normal"
Or maybe she's learned through someone else to accept her "flaw" as not a terrible thing
Whatever the case is, in this moment, right here and right now. She just wishes she could even cry tears like normal people do

tho, I do wonder if evolution ends up being more of an option for anthros than something mandatory. Kinda like getting swoll. Obvioulsy it's still a shame that she can't, but I'm always curious about the societal implictions of this speculative biology
but when you're a pokemon without eyes and your next evolution lets you see I'd image most of them would wanna evolve
But kinda like irl some people just can't do gym work because of like heart issues or something
Thought it'd be some interesting representation on disabilities within pokemon
personally I like the idea of exploring magical disabilities. Seems like a fertile field for various stories to be taken
