After a long day of rain, the garden floor, the grass, and puddles had formed. Mark wanted to play a new game. He put on his boots, put on his new horse mask, and went into the garden. He jumped over puddles and walked through the mud, playing at being a horse.
His tiny parents went into the garden, but mud fell and they got stuck. When they saw Mark striding toward them, they tried to get his attention. Mark looked down, saw two bugs stuck in the mud, bowed, and instead of saying a word, he made a horse noise (not shown in the drawing), wondering whether to keep the two bugs or trample them under his dirty boots.
