After seeing the new Looney Toons, I was HIGHLY disappointed at the new Lola Bunny. She looks like a stick and her personality is absurd. The Lola Bunny I came to know and love is the original from Space Jam. She was curvy and fiesty. Not ditzy & needy like this new one. Smh.

Well, since you asked:
The original space jam was a farce. It was product placement based on the premise of Micheal Jordan and Bugs Bunny both appearing in a Nike Commercial. People flipped their shit seeing bugs bunny and Micheal Jordan...AT THE SAME TIME?! Look at the original space jam merchandise if you don't know what I mean. Not sure if you've seen Nostalgia Critic's review, and, as much of an entertainer as he is, I have to agree entirely with what he said about the movie.
Secondly, you're upset about how they 'murdered' her personality. What personality? I ask this not rhetorically, or sarcastically, or perhaps only partially so because it's like saying a blank slate has a personality. She had 3 lines. That's not an exaggeration. That's literally all the lines she has. She was a token 'strong female' character added for the sake that the original looney tunes really didn't have many female characters besides granny. BUT SHE DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE SHE'S NOT ATTRACTIVE AND STRONG. Apparently female characters these days have to be attractive. And strong. And independent. And have the personality of a piece of fiberboard. And then they tried to shoehorn in a romance between her and bugs. How do you develop a romance between two characters with 3 lines? Hell if I know, but they sure as shit tried. The way this movie was hyped when I was younger, it had to have been the biggest thing since sliced bread. Watched it when I was older and I nearly threw up.
And then they give lola a personality in this one... And it just happens to not be a flawless, 2d cardboard cutout of, "HEY GIRLS CAN ROCK TOO XD" of try-hard bullshit trying to make a personality off an ideology of equality. Yes, women can do the same thing men can. And be better at it sometimes too. (Just look at how popular the WNBA is. Er, sorry, that was a low blow, if apt considering the topic.) That's still not a personality. Who the hell is or was Lola? Aside from being a brown bunny, in the original film, there's NOTHING said about her. There's no dialogue that progresses the 'relationship' between her and bugs. Or anybody. People are drawing an imaginary picture of her personality out of thin air.
So while I'm at it I'll discuss the 'new' Lola. Or rather, the Lola that does have a personality. Yes, she's crazy. Stalkerish. Weird. Crazy. In fact, she's a lot of things. Hell she's downright WEIRD. But you know what? You're able to gleam that from just TWO short episodes. That's more personality in two episodes she was in than all of Space Jam. One thing that never ceases to amaze me is people insist that if a character in a television series isn't perfect, isn't wholesome and good, they're terrible and unlikable. They're fictional characters. They are meant to entertain you. They are not meant to fulfill a roll in society. That is also my biggest problem with the TV tropes page. A bad -person- is not a bad -character.- Nor does that make them unlikable. HOLY CRAP HE JUST PUNCHED A BABY IN A CARTOON! I'M SO OFFENDED! Versus, "HAHA! HOLY SHIT! DID YOU SEE THAT ASSHOLE PUNCH A BABY! THAT WAS HILARIOUS!" The latter, rather than the former, understands that the situation that he has just witnessed is fantasy and not reality, and that therefore although that action would be DEPLORABLE in reality, in fantasy, it is, in fact, quite humorous. Watch what happens when we blow this nun's brains out with a shotgun!
And that is why a fictional character that is flawed, disturbed, or even what one would consider a bad person in real life, can be a good character. It means they are interacting with you on some level. Lola, that is, the new Lola, makes me LAUGH. Because although that is one crazy bitch, it certainly is far more entertaining and adds depth to something that is more than a marketing ploy to appeal to a larger demographic of females to sell shoes and sugary sports drinks to.
And that is why in my opinion Space Jam Lola looks like a brainless bimbo compared to psycho stalker Looney Tunes show Lola.

Believe it or not, I like characters in cartoons that, in the real world, would probably be total assholes.
Peggy Hill, Master shake, Meatwad, Early Cuyler, The Sheriff from squidbillies. A character doesn't have to have good qualities to be likeable or funny. They merely have to entertain you. Oftentimes they can do that with originality or smart and clever jokes.
Some shows are better at these than others.
