It's Day 29 of Octransfur 2025, and the theme is Anxiety!
Cosmo (my alien frog scientist OC) has performed a lot of transformation experiments on me at this point. Thanks to the quantity of tests, I'm gradually becoming less startled whenever she performs some type of change on me. The same can't be said for my friend
CrimsonRune, though. I roped him in as a pseudo-unwilling participant in one of Cosmo's tests, in which she intended to try out a new method of body-swapping on us.
Cosmo brought us into a specialized room, sealed it up, sat us down, and activated a device that dragged our souls out of our bodies! As strange as it felt, I wasn't all that appalled to be spiraling around outside of my body, getting a good look at my pale-white eyes. Crim, on the other hand, was particularly anxious about the process! I tried to calm him a bit as our souls twisted around each other, en route to each other's bodies. That... was fruitless, only getting him to freak out even more, regarding how I could be so chill about all this!
Our souls finished whipping around the room, fully incorporating themselves in the opposite bodies and filling our blank eyes with each other's irises. It took Crim and I a moment to get our bearings, and another moment beyond that to adjust to sudden eyesight differences through each other's glasses. I took a pleasant, reasoned look at Crim's (my) body, whereas Crim suddenly started jerking around, looking himself over in my body with fear in his eyes. He stood up in an instant, stared at his new hands, turned to look at my butt on his backside, felt my breasts that he was borrowing, the whole nine yards of post-swap terror. Meanwhile, I simply crossed my legs in his body, laying back and enjoying my friend's little freak-out.
Cosmo unsealed the room and stepped in, staying within the doorframe in case Crim tried to bolt out in my body. She casually materialized her tablet as Crim made his last uneasy observations about having been moved into my body. Cosmo started typing up some initial experiment notes, surely tickled by the difference in our demeanors. Crim took a few deep breaths to try to bring himself back to reality, sitting down to stabilize himself. Cosmo wrapped up her notes, put away her tablet, and sauntered over to us. I gave her a relaxed wave from Crim's body; Cosmo does take joy in the emotional reactions of her test subjects, but she also isn't cruel to them, typically only going as far as some smug, playful interactions with her victim's changes. I knew we'd be fine for the duration of our swap.
My friend, however, didn't have that knowledge of her... Cosmo turned from me, giving a mischievous glare toward my (Crim's) face. She slowly stepped over and leaned her head right down to Crim's eyeline, instilling a new silent sense of terror in him. With a sly grin on her face and enjoying the moment, she said, "Oh, your level of trepidation is going to dramatically enhance how fun these next tests are~"

I can see Cosmo making her first test all about making the two feel pretty, especially on Crim’s side with a sudden change of clothing and makeup
Then later it’ll become a physical examination of how sensitive one part of their body is
Finally Cosmo would claim “there is no reversing” just to see how they’ll cope to their possible new lives being in each other’s bodies but who knows how long that final experiment will last

Indeed, things like gender norms could maybe be part of the experiment. New-body-part sensitivity would also be there, in a non-invasive and consensual way.
I could see Cosmo being cheeky about a permanence tease, too. It'd be fun to see Crim, in my body, start freaking out and panicking about not being able to get back into his own body :3
