Before dying, Tikal was a devout believer
on I'l, a deity said to control the flow of the
energy in the waters. Its happiness meant
harmony with nature and its inhabitants.

It is not fully understood what happened when
Tikal perished, but from what can be understood,
the demise of its most loyal servant was a terrible
blow to I'l. It must've been somehow also related
to the disappearance of the Master Emerald, due
to the cease of recorded related events.

What is certain, is that all the destruction has the
signs of I'l's doing, so it must be stopped right away.
