OK, this is going to take a lot of explanation. Basically, Keetah dreamed there was a hot new open species that had taken the furry fandom by storm:

"I had a dream that the next big furry open species was called 'sandwich dragons' that were just dragons with big sandwiches on their backs. They looked like regular dragons except that they had knife-like wings to spread condiments. In the dream I was commissioned to draw one that was a ham/cheese sandwich dragon but as I was drawing, people were screaming at each other about how to correctly/incorrectly draw a sandwich dragon.

Anyway, it was such a bizarre idea that I badgered Keetah into drawing a Sandwich Dragon so we could see what they would have looked like, fortunately without the acrimony. A couple more people got sandwich dragons drawn of their characters, and eventually I commissioned FeatheryFlukes to draw Fardon as one, and here we are.
