Managed to wrangle two interesting representations of the southern scaley kobold.
on the left, is the female of the species named bellows pumper on the right is the male of the species named ruby. Ruby is owned by madame Zanita and works at her bordelo as a joy boy. Madame Zanita was kind enough to lend him out for half price for the creation of this photo. Bellows pumper is owned by the inn's blacksmith. she's creatively named so because she pumps the billows for his forge. Bellows pumper is a wonderful representation of the hardiness of the southern scaley kobold And demonstrates the diferent type of sexual dimorphism in kobolds, than that found in humans, hibex minotaursminotaurs, pineland willow dogs, elves (though extinct these many a long year much research had been done on them) and some other mammals. Because billows pumper has not been out of the forge In twenty years she was exceedingly nervous around new people, to the point that she had to be administered half a bottle of whiskey to be this calm. For the ignorant or the concerned kobolds of all species are highly resistant to poisons and toxins. So this is the equivalent of giving a nervous man A small tumbler.
The history of the southern scaley kobold it's not a happy one. After the loss of their dragon lords their entire society collapsed, and they were swept up by the surrounding nations and reduced to slavery. They have been slaves so long that they are considered to be one of only two sentient Domesticated creatures. The other being the hairy tea spider of the west. Scaley kobolds unfortunately have no culture of their own. It has been erased by a combination of the winds of history and the fact the dragon lords were isolationist at the time and did not tend to write things down. Because of their status as a purchasable commodity scaly southern kobolds can be found all over. Most kobolds live to about sixty years of age.They can reach seventy, but those that do are not happy about it. Bellows pumper is thirty six and ruby is twenty five.
