I did this pencil portrait of my mother as an invitation for her 85th birthday two years ago.
She didn't really want a picture of herself on her invites, but suggested I use her beloved cat, Angel. 'How about both of you?' I suggested, and thus this was born.
I almost never do portraits of real people, so this was quite a challange for me, especially in pencils.
I like the way it turned out, except Angel's eyes should not be quite so round...

amazing details and i love the realistic feel to it as well. he cat's eyes gave me a giggle as if she's secretly wanting to bolt. XD (how my cat looks when he gets scared or excited)
