I always suggest doing a vertical cut as it is the most underrated NBM.
Maybe... a Lucario girl gets cut like that to a trap of some kind.
Now each half is Independent and one half wants to try and re attach but the other half hops away confidently thinking they are ok still.

This it's the first Rosie nbm drawing I ever saw and it's so good omg!! (Also the "his body" part was a probably a misspelling, but Idk why I feel that it really suits someone like Rosie hskhs)
For a spooky theme idea you could try some character cosplaying as a Zombie and detaching her head (or other parts) to play a trick and scare everyone, maybe more animal crossing villagers can work into that xb
