Hiya :3
I got in a small discussion with some peers about anthro horse hands and thought I'd throw in my two cents but visuals.
I have no real critiques with how other furries draw anthro horse hands, though. Horses are unlike humans in that they basically walk on stilts so there is a limited information on how to go about this when it comes to reference material (unlike say dogs and cats which still have multiple digits per appendage in use). Regardless, I thought to maybe try less-humanlike horsey hands! Well... they are still very humanoid but what are anthros without such traits?
Anyways, I am curious if anyone else has anthro horse hands thoughts! Or perhaps do you skip the hands entirely in favor of 4 horsey hooves?

I'm drawn towards Cloven and Darwin, cloven because it feels even, Darwin because that would be the most comical middle finger flick ever.
I tend to go either three or four fingered, finger sizes fairly uniform, with a really tough nail bed for the hoof analogue. Mainly because this is easy to draw, but now I'm thinking more about ungulate fingers.
In species that have cloven hooves instead of a unihoof, I imagine the fingers would look a lot different. Like imagine a goat's hoofhands compared to a horse or donkey. I can picture five fingered hands, with the middle two of the four being bigger and longer, or four fingered hands, with the thumb and pinky fingers being noticeably smaller.
Well, this post is about horse anthro fingies, so back to that. I suppose Mitten would be a solid choice, as fine motor control is important, but it feels so unbalanced to me. The Inverse Mitten looks more balanced, but the fine motor control is lessened. Cloven just seems like the best choice here in terms of feeling balanced and fine motor control capability.
I suppose the best way for that is to go back through evolution and choose a point in the horse's ancestors where their forepaws looked dexterous enough. Where that point is is up to the artist, there being a big finger somewhere or not.
But eh, that's just me. There's nothing wrong with any way people go about their upright walking horsies

I like the depth of thoughts you have! Gonna respond a bit out of order, so bear with me here.
I also feel like mitten is a bit unbalanced but I was also contemplating what a very wide second finger on the outer edge of the hand would look like without being weirdly wide (so I added length to make it more proportionate). Plus, I like the idea of retaining the pointer finger for drawing reasons.
I've seen cloven used before, though the forms I often see them in have much stubbier digits for more of that hoof-like appearence.
I agree on the darwin comment, I sort of drew it with that in mind. Also, it would be a weapon of its own. Punches is hit hard but imagine being punched by a single finger of that thickness. The thickness of it also makes it great for taking physical impacts like in combat! :3
As for other hooved anthros (especially those that are cloven), I thought of the cursed inverse of Darwin where the middle finger is itty-bitty but the pointer and pinkie are massive by comparison. It would be a real sight to behold and totally not have issues related to structural integrity!
