mallory and tessa are a couple of toony anthros living in Downtown, a city full of toons! tessa works in an extraordinarily boring office where no toony hijinx ever take place (which is a bit toony itself), and thus lives a boring, uneventful life. until one day, her neighbor mallory noticed tessa always had a frown whenever she saw the small ferret... and took it upon herself to thrust herself into tessa's life and fill it with fun and excitement! tessa did not ask for this.

when it comes to the toony hijinx they get into, mallory tends to play into the "fat cartoon character" jokes (i.e. sitting on one side of a bench and launching whoever is sitting on the other side into the sky, breaking the bench in the process), while tessa tends to get stretched and pulled around a lot, and often gets pushed around by mallory on accident (i.e. being the one to get launched into the sky).
