"Everything must burn in the name of the empire."
A glimpse in Equinox's past with an attached short story. She carries a lot of baggage but knows the past can't be changed. Sometimes she wishes she could just forget it all.
Moore observed as his new project twitched around in the fluid of the incubation tank taking down notes every now and then as he observed its progress.
"Dr. Moore." A voice called out to him.
He sighed before turning to face the individual who disrupted his research. It was one of the soldiers of the guard, a high ranking one if the armor was an indication. No doubt they were here for his help.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" Moore said as he gestured to the tube.
"Apologies, but you have a request from the Council," The guard replied, "We've found a base belonging to the rebellion in the forests to the west and they want you to-"
"Get rid of them?" Moore interrupted.
"Yes…"
"Right, right, an easy task for my creations." Moore said as he walked over to his terminal computer. The quicker he took care of this the better, he hated being bothered during the middle of an experiment but thus was the price to pay with his deal with the Council. Typing onto the keyboard brought him to a screen detailing the map of the surrounding area around the city, a red blip to the north indicated Valefor's location guarding the city like the good little dragon he was, a white dot in motion meant Hel was flying towards the east, likely still carrying on in their mission of destroying settlements. Moore grimaced, neither of them close enough to carry out this new order, that's when a blue blip near the forest caught his eye.
"Ah, Equinox, interesting, you were supposed to be within the city…" He mumbled, "Questioning for later for now, I have a job for you to do."
He typed some commands and the blue dot on the screen became highlighted.
Moore smirked, "I think it's time for everything to be set ablaze wouldn't you say?"
