Dr. Delilah Ulmar, (Dr. Ulmar or just Ulmar in friendly company) is the ZT Biologics Research Director, where she assists in steering various bio-side projects and initiatives towards end products. She's a relentless optimist (to the chagrin of her cynical go workers) and very excited about the prospect of her research and scientific research as a whole. Which is somewhat at odds with the blasé manner by which she treats other sentient species as potential Dino fuel and her very odd brand of optimistic nihilism...
elilah joined ZT quite enthusiastically when they opened their bio-engineering department after working with several start ups. She was initially was intended to be the project lead at a sub-contractor that went under during the contract negotiation. ZT ended up absorbing quite a few of their scientific staff and acquired her and her extensive phyto-biology experience for their own use.
Dr. Ulmars has since become the entire Biologics Division leader where she coordinates ZTs various plant bio-engineering and phyto-based resource extraction efforts with boundless zeal.
Her enthusiasm for her work borders on grating, especially with some of the more cynical staff scientists - often promoting a drive to work as hard as possible andblook at the bright sides of null results. She is legitimately exciter about her work, which manifests (often) as long rambling muses and hypothesis when discussing with experts and nonexperts alike. Which is certainly a change of pace from the more cautious or dour approach seen in the biochemistry field.
Delilah explains her enthrall as being astounded by the wonders of biology and what nature's blind, competing, sometimes regressive methods have yielded. She evidences her own non-standard body architecture and even species as proof enough of how delightfully bizarre biology can be.
Her scientific fascination and objective wonder is also the likely root of her blithe, optimistic nihilism. Despite her gentle demeanor and very excitable personality Delilah has virtually zero consideration towards the personhood of others and has openly predated humans (and anthros) with virtually no remorse. She reasons there's nothing intrinsically special about so called people and if humans and modern society is cool burning fossil fuels and parading her ancestors around museums then she is totally within her bounds to snack on jerks, annoying people, random pedestrians.. etc. It's a view some of the avian and domestic staff at ZT also expose: none of them will bat an eye at you eating a chicken sandwhich, hamburger or dino-nuggies so why are you upset at them snacking on humans (or micros?)
Honestly she's really doing you a favor; look how meek and pathetic you are. It's in the best interest of your species for there to be a little natural selection at work don't you think? It's not like she is hunting down coworkers; she doesn't want people scared of her...
...but if she catches you staring she'll probably offer to end your pointless existence being smelted in her uncaring guts. If you're curious, that is.
