Alfonzo was sitting at a bench, eating a blueberry muffin reading his homework assignment. He was studying college level algebra. He was able to read his textbook just fine until a shadow loomed over him. He looked up and saw a black bunny doe hanging over him. She had her arms crossed. "Oh, no, not this clown again! Why can't she flirt around some other guy who will actually take interest in her!"
"Alfonzo!" she said aggressively. "I want to have a talk with you!"
"Rhonda, is this because I declined the invitation to the beach party last month?" Alfonzo asked.
She shook her head. "No, personally I think you would have spent 90% of the time gawking at the stars and the moonlight instead of seriously looking for a date. I am considering crossing you off of my boyfriend list."
"Go right on ahead." Alfonzo said. "You never liked spiritual boys anyway."
"No, I can't get you out of my head that easily, so I am going to have to break you out of your New Age nonsense!" Rhonda said. "But today, I am here to tell you to stay away from my brother!"
"Why?" Alfonzo questioned.
"I just found out Gus has been reading a book about walk-ins. I have been trying to help him regain his memories and you tell him he is a different person inside of his body." Rhonda fumed.
"No, I haven't told him anything like that. He came up with that idea on his own. His spirituality is none of my business unless he wants to tell me about it." Alfonzo said. "If you are that concerned, why not you talk to him about how you feel about this?"
"Because, you are an influence. You are putting ideas into his head!" Rhonda snapped.
"Rhonda, please, I am not trying to brainwash him." he pleaded.
"What is going on?" Gus asked as he approached his younger sister. "Are you knocking Alfonzo again for his religion? Honestly, we are adults here. We should let him be. He's not hurting anyone."
Rhonda said, "You haven't regained all memories yet and I cannot afford him to brainwash you with his cosmic rubbish."
Gus said, "Rhonda, dear, I can drive a vehicle with no problems, I have been passing my exams and keeping my grades up, I don't need help finding my way around campus. I'm a big boy and can take care of myself. I chose to befriend Alfonzo because we have a lot in common. I talk about my spirituality with him because we share a common interest. Besides, we can't just leave each other, we are sharing the same dorm for the remainder of the semester."
"Fine, you win this round, big brother." Rhonda said. She walked away giving one last glare at Alfonzo.
Gus said, "You really need to get away from her. The only way to discourage Rhonda from confronting you like that is by finding a date."
"But I don't know anyone I want to date! Most of the women here typically laugh at me." Alfonzo exclaimed. "Your sister's right, no girl around here will have any interest in dating a someone who believes in ETs and reincarnation."
Gus reasoned, "You don't have to find someone who will actually fall in love with you. Just find a female companion who is not afraid to be seen hanging out with you. Besides, Elise, Snips, and Uma have no problem being with you. Elise has even been wanting to ask you for a horoscope."
"That's true." Alfonzo considered. "She has even asked me out to have lunches with her."
"There you go." Gus said. "If Uma and Snips want you to visit or ask you out on a date, let them. That will keep Rhonda at bay."
"Unless she cooks up some idea to ask me out on a date to pull me aside again." Alfonzo said feeling concerned.
"I will host a party at Clark's house. There I will plan a date night and invite as many woman and a few guys to come and see us. Drake has agreed to stay in Clark's bedroom while the party happens. Clark had told him about his plans. It can be a esoteric galactic themed date."
"Careful, what if one of the guests spot Drake by accident?" Alfonzo asked.
Gus looked down at his feet. "Gosh, I haven't thought about that." He perked up. "That's alright, if it is a cosmic themed party, we can all dress as extraterrestrials and Drake can guise himself as a Gaian. He can pretend to be a neighborhood friend off campus. Nobody will suspect a thing."
"I kinda like that idea." Alfonzo said. "Let's try it."
"Besides taking care of your problem with Rhonda, you can also get people on campus to get to know you better instead of seeing you as a socially awkward fox who believes humans can be friendly."
"The theme of the party should be called, 'Galactic Gala of Hope'." Alfonzo said.
Gus gave him the thumbs up. "Perfect, now you can continue studying while I tell Clark my new plans." Gus trodded off feeling very pleased about his new and improved plan.
"I sure hope this works." Alfonzo said.
