For
cornershop, of her character Martlet!
She's made of supersculpey, acrylic and soy paint, coated in sculpey satin glaze (which I'm sort of regretting, I hate shiny things and it sort of filled up some of the smaller details and made it hard to photograph XD).
She was very fun to do, and despite her sort of droopy eyes, she's the first human lady I've sculpted that doesn't look like a troll! This has me all excited to sculpt more
Here she is next to a bottle cap to compare size.
And here's some progress shots!

Holy mother hugger!
I'm just going to start out by ecchoing everyone when I say DAT HAIR! That must have taken you forever, and out of curiousity, how did you do it? It looks pretty difficult to get right. The curls look so organic and like real hair. It's pretty much how I imagine her later hairdo would look like, too.
And the paint job is amazing, as is your attention to detail; everything is spot on colour-and-marking-wise, and I love how you even got her freckles right! Eeeh! I really dig the slight "blush" in certain areas -like her elbows or face- too. It gives a lot of life to it.
The sculpture itself is beautiful, I've been scrolling up and down and looking at it from the different angles all day. The posture with the curled tail is great, but what I love the most must be the slight tilt of her head. That's adorable. Gotta love that slight smile and the curve of her nose as well.
Thank you so much for doing this trade with me, she's bloody amazing and I love her. Gush, gush, gush!

Oh wow, so nicely done! Her hair is amazing, and her face looks so gentle.
What a wonderful backdrop you've chosen too, I love to see artists pick appropriate photo shoots just to show off the work as best you can, and you've totally shown this for what it is - an amazing, unique piece that I'm sure the commissioner is dying of happy to receive!

oh my god this is SO COOL
i tried sculpting a more human-like face and i got mad and gave up like ten minutes in :B
although i think the clay i used was too soft. do you find it kinda melty and difficult at all? when i open a new thing i have to put it between copy paper and under something heavy for awhile to soak some of the oils out.
but anyway, jesus, i can't believe you're just starting out o__o
such awesome details and so friggin small! i thought she was bigger before seeing the bottle cap pic. her hair looks fantastic, the curls, wow. AND THE PAWS ;A;
and DUDE. i bought some satin glaze when i started making things that didn't need to be shiny, and hey i ruined a cake charm because it looked SHINY :l
yeah, not happy about that. so i still have the problem of needing to coat things with something to protect the paint (or whatever) without making it shiny. i have some satin mod podge i still need to try but i kinda doubt it'll be any different. but yeah, figures like animals and stuff, i don't like them shiny, it looks kinda odd/unnatural. if you figure something out let me know...or if i do, i will let you know? :b
seriously though, shiny or not this is outstanding, omgdomore ;o; <3
