Here is an interesting blowtorch that I have purchased on Ebay.
It's a vintage model, but not as old as the other kinds of torches I own. This one was made in the 1950's from what I could gather, which is kind the earliest one made compared to a lot of my other blowtorches.
The neat thing about Automatic Alcohol torches is the fact they are indeed automatic. I do not have to manually pressurize the torch via a bellows or use a mouth blowpipe. The heat automatically supplies its own pressure to the to one of the reservoirs that hold methylated spirits. One of the reservoirs is the torch head and one is the "Pilot light. The torch head has a very small aperture that only allows a pressurized stream of vaporized alcohol out of the exit. The constant wicking draws more fuel up from the reservoir.
