Another Don't Ink Twice piece that, when I finished the initial sketch, I was so pleased with how it turned out I had to go all the way. The prompt was "Sage," and Medli, Sage of the Earth Temple from The Wind Waker, has always been one of my favourite Zelda characters. The Rito in general have long been my favourite race in the Zelda series... but if I'm being honest, ever since Breath of the Wild updated their designs into actual bird people, the "basically humans with beaks taped over their noses" from The Wind Waker have been kinda lame.

So, I figured, why not draw Medli as a modern Rito?

Also, isn't it kinda funny how the character associated with the air - Medli - is the Earth Temple Sage, while Makar, of the forest and earth, is the Wind Temple Sage? Always found it kinda funny how that shakes out.
