This Gothic bastard. In order to photograph this, I had to turn off every light in the room but one to minimize the glare from the pencil gloss, abd even then I still had to do some digital adjusting to get it even in the ballpark of the original.
Grimm is easily my favorite Hollow Knight character, which is saying something considering how much competition he has, and he is a major player in the HK AU I'm working on. Yes this design takes a lot of creative liberties from the in-game one but I couldn't be more thrilled with how it came out. I've been suffering a major art block for over a year now and it took this silly bug game, and this absolute Gothic king, to finally start breaking me out of it. Expect a lot more HK content to come, from portraits to comics.
