There are, of course, many ways to attain power. Granted from a higher power, sourced from artifacts, learned through experience, acquired from bloodlines... So many ways. But they all have their limits. Some insurpassable, others not. There are many ways one can increase those limits, and one such way that has been discovered is cultivation.

Cultivation of power, via improving various aspects of oneself. Mind, body, soul... Making the power easier to control, stronger, less tiring. It is an involved process, requiring preparation, and to some degree dangerous. But no power ever came without risk. After all, electricity can kill, yet it's used in everything all around, no?
