RIP Ace Frehley
The original lead Guitarist for KISS, Ace Frehley died after suffering from a falling injury a month prior. Plus his health was in decline as well, having to cancel an appearance at Madison's Bratfest 2025 due to health reasons.
Ace was also the lead vocalist for the band from 1973-1982, Known as 'Spaceman or Space Ace' later forming his own band 'Frehley's Comet', later rejoining KISS from 1996-2002. Later going solo again from 2003-2025.
But his elaborate costume and make up made him.
On a personal note, I was attending GenCon in 1996 in Milwaukee, and staying at the downtown Holiday Inn. I was getting back late to the hotel after a nights partying, when I was at the front desk asking the desk clerk about something now long forgotten, when I watched four guys come in. I initially glanced at them, then zero'd in on them. Recognizing Gene Simmons minus his make up, along with Frehley next to him and the other band members. Gene was bitching about being unable to get around thanks to all the damn fanboys. I said "Welcome to Game Con Hell Gene!" Ace immediately asks "Game Con?" I stated about Gencon being a massive gaming convention , thus the weirdness. Peter Criss goes..."Cool! Might be fun!" In which Gene goes "Fuck That, I want to take a shower and then bed!" At that point they got their keys and vanished quickly.

Kiss was arguably the first band I ever got to listen to as a small toddler. I grew up listening to their music, always loved hearing the guitar moments he would make in some of their greatest songs of all time. My favorite at the time was Rock and Roll All Nite.
He will be missed but never forgotten, resting well forever in peace. He finally gets to rock and roll all night and party every day.

His music as a solo artist got me through my first year of college when I initially returned to education, my art projects were based on his character, music and various little bits of lore from the KISS comics.
Man, the gig in the sky is looking like one hell of a show. x

As a founding member of the KISS army way back in the 70s they was a band that I truly recognized as being a good-vocialistic band. No idea how old I was, but I have Destroyer, Hotter' than hell, and a few other /albums/ (Yeah, youngins. record player before-CDs records) (Of course I still have ACDC's Highway to Hell, and BOC's Agents of Fortune. but that's beside the point.
It wasn't the showmanship that attracted me, but Paul's singing ability, and of course soon enough the concert videos. But yes, I saw Ace, and really enjoyed his style. Even Ma liked the band, seeing past the showmanship too. Admiring Gene saying that he refused to do drugs or alcohol cause he didn't want to hurt his momma too.
Sadly, I never got to see a concert live; the first time I was 10 and the very day I was to go with ma and pa to Cincinnati, I got so violently sick, I was flat on my back (Or kissing the ivory throne) for two days straight. Took me a week to recover after that. The 2nd and last was their fare-ware tour and I was stuck in Tyson working.
To be honest, I doubt I could really enjoy it however. At the times I didn't know I had AHD AND audio-processing disorder so large crowds are nearly impossible for me, to deal with. My deep, dark forests, and a quiet peaceful time is where I can Rock and roll all night, even if it's Hotter' than hell. :(.
RIP Ace, you'll be missed greatly by this old doe.
