I played from 6th grade to 12th and kept playing for a few years after that, even helping one of my sisters learn her parts in songs. Its so much fun! I miss it at times TuT

I used to play in a community orchestra, but I haven't been back since covid, I'm planning on rejoining them again soon, though. I usually just play to record my own music for my youtube channel.

It was a school orchestra! Same teacher for middle school and high school, it was amazing!

I suppose the violin is quite a tricky instrument when you're still a beginner, you've got to master correct posture and technique before it starts to sound good. That's probably why a lot of people get put off.

It's a lot of fun. We used to play a lot of 'crowd pleasers' like movie themes and musicals when we did gigs, but when we played for ourselves, we did more classical stuff. My favourite pieces that we've played is Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony. That was so much fun to perform.

All of that sounds like fun! Now I miss the days of playing with a group TmT
