I picked up my guitar I hadn't seen in over a year and tried writing some music again right off the bat. I ended up partially writing a really depressing song about a dog locked in a kennel on the daily while its owners went out and about to enjoy Fall festivities. Looking at the lyrics I can't tell if it's cringe or dark or both, but anyway I'm scrapping the idea because irl can get sad as is, so I'd like to write stuff that's more... cheery, I guess? So I'm sharing it here to offload it from my mind.
