There comes a time when two nations send members of their Kingdoms to negotiate terms to maintain friendly relations. For Baroness Miri this was her first time visiting the Kingdom of Valmeridia. A lone castle was what she was greeted with. 'No guards, no fortifications, castle maintained but falling apart in some areas. Wouldn't take much to overthrow. Why was this place so important to the Ambassador?' the baroness thought to herself as she approached the castle gates. She usually had a legion of troops at her disposal and was use to potential danger appearing at every turn. This visit was calm. Too calm and it made her feel uneasy. She would be welcomed in by the lovely Lady of the Castle Silva and urged to follow her to the study. As soon as she stepped through the gates she felt a presence hit her. Something warm and welcoming. The only way she could describe it was like life energy was flowing from the castle grounds. Now it was more obvious to her why the Castle didn't need guards or fortifications. The residents inside must have a power that rivals her own land's royals. The Lady Silva takes her to a room with a roaring fire and a table. Weapons were to be left at the entrance and thus the baroness relinquished her rapier. Lady Silva took care of everything and arranged for a spread of herbal teas and snacks to be presented to them. A set of parchments were pulled out and laid on the table as if the Prince had anticipated her arrival and prepared documents to go over ahead of time. The baroness fumbles to get her documents out to catch up to being as prepared as the Lady was. She can tell that the lady was magically gifted and throughout the talks couldn't help but wonder how strong she would be. 'I would love to see your magic in action.' she thought as the lady starts to address her Prince's requests.
