Here is a specialized sort of pry bar that I forged from a section of leaf spring that I had lying around in the high carbon steel bin.
It was forged from the piece in the picture posted beforehand, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/62642231/ linked here.
The piece of steel was roughly 8 1/2 inches long and 1 3/4" wide and with a thickness just over 1/8th of an inch.
The tool is meant for prying apart two split ends of hot steel. The hooked portion can be driven between two separate pieces that had been chiseled and then wrenched open to force them apart. It can also be used to pry open the the seam of a piece of pipe that was cut down the weld line. This would help opening it up to be unfurled and forged flat into sheet again.
The other end is a tapered wedge which can be useful for opening holes made by a slot punch before driving a drift through as well as other tasks.
It's basically a multi tool I have needed for a while.
