A wonderful gryphon designed by Noxeri!
I've been on the hunt for a gryphon. I have a couple, but haven't really connected to them so I've been roaming around trying to find one that's a good fit for me. I came across this one by Armundy on ToyHouse, and homed him... he has a color palette that I like, and I may develop him further at a later date. That one is more of a traditional gryphon design. Then I came across this gorgeous design, and immediately knew he was the right one. This great adoptable by Noxeri deviates a bit from the traditional gryphon design, and that's what I loved about it. There is a grace and agile look to this creature - to my eye it's so beautifully done. I did ask for one slight edit to the adoptable and that was to add an ear. External ears aren't very bird-like, but you do see them frequently on gryphons... I think it works well on this creature.
I named him Nubilus, which in Latin means cloudy, overcast, or cloud-bearing. I thought with his grey colour palette and that he soars through the clouds that it was a fitting name. I might abbreviate the name to Nubi... although that sounds like newbie. :) We'll see.
