Alongside my Val lore with Alejandro, I built up some living lore for Valentino in that he came from a large family. I prolly won't fully FINISH these ladies but got the urge to design them loosely at least.
His dad was an absolute degenerate so I didn't bother to draw him, but his mother wasn't necessarily a saint either.
His oldest sisters resented the hell out of him, and the youngest of the bunch was the only one who tried to keep tabs on him after they had all left home. He was the youngest of the 4, and the first son to their parents.
His mom was essentially one of those weird fucking Boy-moms who is WAY too attached to her son and is just weird about it in every which way, while dismissing/competing with her daughters all the time. This is what caused the resentment, especially when their father was abusing all 3 girls, and their mom essentially was ignoring it. the two of them were both addicts, so they were already quite neglectful as is, but even with 'favoritism' from their mom, Val wasn't ALWAYS given everything, nor was he treated appropriately either.
His sisters aged enough to leave home, but Val was left stuck with both of his less then pleasant parents and it really fucked him up to say the least. He completely separated himself from all of them the moment he could leave.
He's remained separated from his family in hell, knowing it's very probable they're down there with him by now but not wanting to try reaching out. One of his sisters actually TRIED to help him when he was still living with their parents in life, unbeknownst to him. she worked hard to get someone on his case after she left to try to get out of that house too, but sadly the system was much too overwhelmed at the time, and he was one who simply fell through the cracks. She tried reaching out to him later in life, but he refused contact.
When he died shortly after his fall from the filming industry's grace, she stepped in to handle funeral arrangements for him since no one else came to do so, not even their mother for all her 'favoritism'.
