The family dog
was a year older than me
he slept next to my crib
he died when I was 13
He had cancer.
We treated him, but he didn't survive.
He died at home in his sleep.

Lady had been fine on Monday morning. in the afternoon i took her for her usual walk but half way through she began to act strangely so i took her home. she started breathing heavily and within half an hour she had gone the only mercy was that it was quick and i was with her. we think it was sudden onset dilated cardiomyopathy.....a big killer in dobermans

i've actually been looking at puppies. nothing can ever replace Lady, she was 1 in a billion, but i need a friend and companion.

nobody could replace her however i did have a surprise when i got home today, you'll see

i need to try and get back to my old routine to keep my mind occupied. i know i'm still going to have some crying episodes, my heart aches so much, but i need to think of the good times and to smile again

one day i'll see her again but that's a journey i can't make yet
