One of my pathetic attempts at drawing something scary - this one isn't too bad so I'll post it. Usually, all my art is cute which ticks me off when I'm trying to do something spooky. I do like that this one isn't all Scooby-Doo villain type scary.
The story for La Llorona ("The Crier" in Spanish) is a legend from the south west area of the USA and Mexico. Here is the general story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Llorona I recently read (in "Weird U.S.") a version where she stabbed her kids and then is given a horse's head as part of her punishment so that's how I drew her. (And because I draw humans as stupidly as I tend to draw scary stuff.)
Marker, ink, gel pens and watercolor pencils. This page has so much marker in it, you could wring it and get droplets of ink. The eerie glow is a total of four marker colors.
